Based on 463 reviewsRocky's Drive-In is widely recognized for its nostalgic charm, capturing the essence of a classic American drive-in with retro décor and a friendly atmosphere. Customers frequently praise the quality and flavor of their signature smash burgers and hot dogs, highlighting fresh ingredients, well-seasoned patties, and distinctive condiments. The menu’s offerings, including milkshakes and poutine, are noted for satisfying comfort food cravings. The service is consistently described as fast and welcoming, with staff often going above and beyond to enhance the dining experience. While some mention the prices as slightly elevated, overall, Rocky's maintains a strong reputation for delivering tasty, generous portions in a casual, vibrant setting that evokes a sense of tradition and community.
Best smash burger in town. The patties are all beef, standard 4 oz size, nicely seasoned, buns are top quality, and condiments are great. Love the pickles especially, they are very thinly sliced. Really great vibe inside the little restaurant too. Rick even makes his own special condiments from time to time, like hot peppers, which are super good. Dogs were juicy and had a great flavour, and the buns were perfect. Onion rings and fries are delish. The staff will answer any questions you have about the food. I highly recommend this place for fast food that is not ultra-processed, while still being fairly priced given the cost of food these days. I got two cheeseburgers with double cheese o rings on top for 13 after tax. Remember Burger's Priest, folks? Cost more than that for a single burger.Rick is a kind and generous guy in my experience. They will customize your order to a T. Get a double patty if you want more meat. They kindly put onion rings on my burger though that's not an option listed on the menu.I can't recommend this place enough, it's a gem. Wonderful staff and excellent classic fast food. Been here probably ten times in the last month. Gotta get all my Rocky's in before they shut for the winter. Really appreciate what they offer to the city.
Got a chance to try this foot long Hot Dog in Guelph. The owner is very friendly and even offer free sample food for us. We able to sample it's Chili and it taste delicious!! The food and the service are absolutely amazing !! Highly recommended and where can you get a foot long Hotdog anywhere else rather than ROCKYS !!
Serving hot dogs, burgers, and milkshakes since 1951, Rocky's is a thriving monument to the low brow eating establishment of simpler times. With an interior abounding in checkered tiles and James Dean posters, the joint exudes the sort of retro charm that is a tragic rarity in the area. The food is tasty, if a bit pricy, and the service fast and friendly. The hot dogs, while not actually foot long as advertised, are nevertheless sizable and made all the more delicious by adding chilli. Whether you're from Guelph or just passing through, Rocky's is certainly worth a visit, if only for a taste of what the area was like in the age of Rock n' Roll, Hot Rods, and Sputnik.
Sooo yummy! Great little spot! For such a long line it goes so fast! Love it and love dads root beer!4 year update: Such a cute spot for a quick nice lunch! So filling as well! Sat on the benches for lunch on a beautiful day, it was perfect!
A place with tradition, delicious hot dogs and hamburgers, not forgetting Putin, accompanied by a milkshake. Yum!
Rocky’s is absolutely a historic gem of Guelph. Around since 1951, they have kept the old-timey feeling and have tiled walls, with a rustic menu. (Prices in detachable letters) The hot dog was tasty, with a moist bun that was lightly crispy on the outside. If I had to guess, I would say it came straight out the oven. The fries tasted authentic and real, with a soft inside and a nice crust on the outside. Those items cost 13 together, absolutely well worth it for the taste. The older fellow working there was friendly and conversational while taking orders, a nice person to be around. My food was done pretty quickly, about the same speed as McDonald’s would have been. I just discovered this jewel, and will certainly be coming back soon. Great place to dine. If do 6/5 stars if I could!
First time at Ricky's Drive-in since I moved to Guelph last year. We came as per my wife recommendation. Now, I'm kinda mad of why she didn't bring me here before... their hotdogs are amazing, best ones I have ever had.Don't get me wrong, I know many people will say that Costco ones are good. Well, they are, but the don't compare to Ricky's, they are just amazingly delicious... totally worth itTheir onion rings are great as well. We had milkshakes... hmmmm, I already want to come back. All the food and beverages that we ordered were amazing... totally worth it and delicious.Fully recommended Open from 11am to 7pm.From mid March to Mid October
